Influence de la Technologie Internet sur la Socialisation des Adolescents à Cotonou (République du Bénin)

Résumé :- L’Internet est une technologie nouvelle qui s’insère depuis quelques années dans un contexte social et familial en pleine mutation. Il prétend à la fonction de socialisation de l’individu, au même titre que la famille et l’école, et trouve une large audience parmi les adolescents. Mais, les excès d’usage ont des répercussions sur les rapports familiaux. La problématique abordée par cette étude, celle de l’éducation des enfants face au développement des TIC, est en lien avec l’utilisation que font les adolescents de l’Internet. La démarche méthodologique adoptée pour mener à bien cette réflexion, combine les approches quantitative et qualitative. Sur la base d’entretiens semi-directifs, les informations ont été collectées auprès de certains parents et adolescents de la ville de Cotonou. L’analyse s’est basée sur la théorie wébérienne de l’interaction sociale. L’étude s’adapte à cette théorie en ce sens qu’elle permet de comprendre les perceptions et motivations des adolescents à utiliser l’Internet comme outil primordial d’information et de communication, et d’expliquer son rôle dans l’évolution du modèle éducatif classique. Ainsi, on peut retenir de l’analyse que l’Internet transforme le monde social des adolescents par l’influence qu’il exerce sur leur manière de communiquer, d’établir et de maintenir des rapports avec les autres. Ils en ont une perception positive, et ont tendance à l’utiliser bien plus pour socialiser, s’informer sur différents sujets que s’amuser. L’Internet fait aujourd’hui partie du processus de socialisation entre pairs et participe de la construction de l’identité de l’adolescent. Le modèle éducationnel classique se trouve modifier par l’utilisation de l’Internet. Les parents voient leur rôle d’éducateur fragilisé, et les rapports entre enfants et enseignants sont transformés. Toutefois, il ne peut être considéré comme ayant une influence significative sur les relations familiales. L’Internet constitue également une source de dangers dont il conviendrait de protéger les adolescents.

Abstract :- The Internet is a new technology that fits in recent years a social and family changing. He claims the socialization function of the individual as well as family and school, and found a wide audience among teenagers. But excess usages affect family relationships. The problem addressed by this study, the education of children to ICT development is related to the use made of the Internet teenagers. Approach methodological to carry out this reflection, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. Based on semi-structured interviews, information was collected from some parents and teenagers in the city of Cotonou. The analysis is based on Weber’s theory of social interaction. The study fits this theory in that it provides insight into the perceptions and motivations of teens use the Internet as a primary tool for information and communication, and explain its role in the evolution of classical model of education. Thus, we can learn from the analysis that the Internet is transforming the social world of teenagers through its influence on the way they communicate, establish and maintain relationships with others. They have a positive perception, and tend to use it more to socialize, learn about different topics that fun. The Internet is now part of the socialization process among peers and participates in the construction of the identity of the young. The traditional educational model is modified by its use. Parents see their role as educators weakened, and the relationship between children and teachers have been changed. However, it cannot be considered to have a significant impact on family relationships. The Internet is also a source of danger which should protect teenagers.
